$50,000 Goal

Our community of supporters helped us reach our goal of raising $50,000 in 24 hours to repair the HVAC at the Community Animal Center!

In mid July, two air conditioning units serving the dog kennels at LifeLine's Community Animal Center need new compressors. The combined cost of HVAC repairs and rental of a temporary cooling system is estimated to be $50,000.

The comfort and safety of the animals in our care is our top priority. Until the repairs are completed, we are renting temporary air conditioning units to properly cool the kennels. Our shelter management and veterinary teams are confident that the shelter will remain safe and comfortable for the dogs, staff and volunteers throughout the repairs.

Our Community Animal Center was designed with a specialized HVAC system that circulates 100% fresh air throughout the building, which is essential to preventing the spread of illness.

Our community of supporters helped us cover these unexpected expenses in 24 hours! We will continue to provide safe, comfortable shelter and care for every animal who comes through our doors at every shelter location with the generous support of our community!

About LifeLine Animal Project:

LifeLine Animal Project is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with a mission of ending the shelter euthanasia of healthy and treatable animals with a goal of keeping people and their pets together.

LifeLine is a nationally lauded leader in animal welfare and the largest animal welfare organization in Georgia. Since its inception in 2002, LifeLine has taken a strategic approach to creating a safety net for at-risk companion animals, both in our shelters and community.

Thanks to the leadership and vision of LifeLine founder and CEO Rebecca Guinn, LifeLine has transformed the ways in which metro Atlanta cares for its most vulnerable animals and their owners. LifeLine addresses the root causes of animal homelessness and works with communities throughout metro Atlanta to provide accessible pet care and animal welfare solutions.

LifeLine manages the Fulton and DeKalb Counties' animal shelters as well as the Community Animal Center, LifeLine's headquarters, which features a state-of-the-art shelter, a full-service, low-cost veterinary clinic, and a high volume spay and neuter clinic.

LifeLine continues to face extraordinary challenges as record numbers of animals enter Fulton and DeKalb County shelters, Georgia's two largest open-admission municipal shelters. LifeLine works daily to keep as many pets as possible from entering the shelters and to keep families and pets together through proactive community-based outreach and support programs like Healthy Pets and Pets for Life, and by providing affordable full-service veterinary care and spay & neuter services. These much-needed, compassionate efforts are made possible with the support of LifeLine's dedicated community of adopters, volunteers, donors, animal lovers, community advocates, and rescue partners!
