Team Musil Cycle Across Illinois

This year I will be riding in the 22nd ILCOPS Annual Cycle Across Illinois bike ride. I will be a first time rider 🚴🏼‍♀️ but a 2nd year participant. Not only will I be riding for our own DeKalb County Deputy Christina Musil, I will ride for every law enforcement officer in the State of Illinois who gave the ultimate sacrifice, (their life) in the line of duty. 

Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing resources, peer support, and counseling to families, co-workers and loved ones of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty. Unfortunately, I learned of COPS when tragedy struck my life, department, and community. Deputy Christina Musil who was not only a co-worker my mine, but a friend was killed when her patrol car was struck by an intoxicated driver. You know there organizations out there, such as COPS, but you never know the impact they will have on your life until you need them. I have met so many amazing people through this organization and just from being apart of the ride last year. We all have a different story, however are stories are connected together in some sort of way. I made a promise to myself, Christina, and her family that I will never forget.
