Officer Doolin and Chief Sommer will be participating in the 22nd ILCOPS bicycle ride this July. The Cycle Across Illinois bicycle ride recognizes and honors the extraordinary contributions of law enforcement officers who have died in the line of duty. In 2025, several officers and K-9s lost their lives due to different causes. The Illinois Chapter of Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.) is a non-profit organization that supports the families of officers who have died in the line of duty. Our goal is to raise $2,000 to support this incredible organization. We will be riding approximately 350 miles from Edwardsville to Chicago over a four day period to honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice. Please help us honor those who have risked it all and support their families! Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!!
